My name is Zsombor Bajkai, I’m a dog behavior therapist.
I’ve had many dogs throughout my life, so I thought I knew everything about them – and then came Timon. He arrived unexpectedly at 9 weeks old and turned my whole world upside down. With him I started the Dog3 behavior therapy courses with Gábor Csikós, whose methods and perspective fascinated me so much that I stayed: I watched countless of his sessions, learned, observed, asked questions – and eventually completed his behavior therapist training program.
Since then, I’ve been working to help dogs with behavioral issues – for about 3-4 years now. In the meantime, I adopted Dallam, an elderly boxer lady who was the complete opposite of Timon: she was terrified of everything. I also worked at a dog daycare, where I had to maintain calm and order among 50–60 dogs at once. I don’t work from a textbook – I’ve walked the same path you’re now walking with your dog.
How can I help you?
I won’t teach you the classic “sit-down-stay” commands (but if you want we can do that as well). Instead, I’ll guide you toward a balanced life together based on mutual trust and understanding. I’ll help you recognize why your dog behaves the way it does, and how you can respond appropriately.
Topics I can help with:
- Fear and aggression management
- Socialization with people and other dogs
- Leash handling
- Understanding dog communication
- Harmonizing the dog–owner relationship
My approach
My methods are based on positive reinforcement, but I’m not dogmatic. Just as life isn’t black and white, neither is working with dogs. Sometimes a reward is enough, sometimes boundaries need to be set. I believe there is a solution for every situation – if we’re willing to work for it.
I won’t “whisper” your dog. I’ll show you the way – but it’s up to you to walk the path together.
